Vision of the department
“To equips all engineering graduates with the solid knowledge in applied sciences and mathematics needed to solve challenging problems in their respective engineering disciplines”
About the Department
Welcome to the Department of Applied Sciences. The Department was formed in 2015 and is the home Department for students in the disciplines of engineering.
The study of Applied sciences provide opportunities to builds on skills and experience in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM).Staff in the Department work with internal and external collaborators such as industry and consumer groups.
Applied science is a discipline of science that applies existing scientific knowledge to develop more practical applications, like technology or inventions.
Within natural science, disciplines that are basic science, also called pure science, develop information to predict and perhaps explain—thus somehow understand—phenomena in the natural world. Applied science applies science to real world practice. This includes a broad range of science fields from Engineering to Child Care.
Applied science can also apply formal science, such as statistics and probability theory.
Our engineering college possesses well equipped workshops and labs which helps the student to be aware of the practical concept and investigate their knowledge according to their field of interest. Modern Group of Colleges (College of Engineering) possesses a variety of labs in Applied Sciences department:-
- Engineering Physics lab
- Communicative English Laboratory
- Basic Electrical and Electronics Engineering Laboratory
- Manufacturing Practice Engineering
- Chemistry Laboratory
- Engineering Drawing
- Fundamentals of Computer Programming and IT Laboratory
- Engineering Computer Graphics Laboratory
