Mission:

Modern group of management aims to impart a technical education in agriculture and related areas (like agriculture marketing) and to provide the state skill manpower as entrepreneurs or job providers and not as job seekers.

Also, colleges aim to discover, share and disseminate knowledge of integrated agricultural and environmental systems to students, the agricultural community, and society.

About the Department

In MGC Campus, Department of Agriculture visualize the critical importance of Agricultural Information and Communication Technology as an instrument for the Student’s overall development & department remains deeply committed to dissemination of both for increasing productivity, rural development and enhancing the quality life of the farmers.
Department of Agriculture aims to impart a technical education in Agriculture and related areas. The MGC Campus creates, integrates, & shares knowledge to meet the objectives:

. To provide relevant education to the students in Agriculture, Processing and allied sciences.
. To promote research and training on sustainable development of agricultural productivity, cost reduction in farming, farm mechanization and farm animal production.
. To encourage the youths on entrepreneurship and rural development
. To provide consultancy in agriculture to disseminate the technology innovation to the producer through integrated extension activities.

The Department has designed dynamic and focused curriculums to develop well-trained manpower in Agriculture for academic/industrial and extension oriented applications as well as research perspectives. The Department also focuses on inculcating the ethical and moral values in the students. Students are also motivated to participate actively in seminars, symposiums, conferences and workshops. Thrust areas of the Department in R&D include multi-disciplinary research in the fields of agriculture and its allied ventures. Recently, the Department has designed cost effective Fruit Fly traps made out of waste material.

The Department has eminent and highly motivated faculty with Doctoral and Post-Doctoral research experience and a focus on research in the current areas of Agriculture and associated Sciences.

The Department is well-equipped with spacious classrooms and modern laboratories to provide quality teaching and research opportunities for students to nurture their future under supervision and friendly arena developed by the faculty members.
